Objectives
PNGInfo is
a customised version of DevInfo, a UN official tool to monitor
achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). It is
tailored to the Papua New Guinea (PNG) MDGs as well as other
relevant indicators to monitor Government policies and
development priorities (e.g. Medium0tem Development Strategies (MTDS)
Performance Management Framework, PNG Censuses or Demographic
and Health Surveys etc).
PNGInfo
was endorsed by the Government of Papua New Guinea in March
2007.
Main
features of PNGInfo are:

Monitors and keeps track of the performance of PNG’s MDG
based on 15 National Targets and 67 localised MDG indicators
(pg 65, MTDS 2005-2010), and other relevant development
indicators;

Only
stores secondary / processed data

Is
web-based and can be accessed over the Internet, available
to the general public; and,

Enables users to analyse data for evidence based decision
making, among other purposes.
